Fuji apple fritters

  • 4 Fuji apples
  • 100 gr of flour
  • ½ citrus
  • 40 gr of caster sugar
  • 30 gr of Maïzena flour
  • ½ sachet of backing powder
  • 25 sachet of backing powder
  • 1 egg
  • Icing sugar
  • Salt
  • Frying oil


Wash, peel and core apples. Cut in thick slices. Squeeze the citrus, mix juice with sugar. Saturate apples. Boil the frying oil.

In a salad bowl, mix Maïzena flour, flour, backing powder, sugar and add a pinch of salt. Add egg and melted butter until obtaining a homogeneous paste. 

Soak apples slices in pastry. Once covered with paste, plunge them in warm oil some seconds turning them. When they are well browned, dry and dust with icing sugar. Taste still lukewarm !
